For one of our clients based in Geneva, we are URGENTLY looking for a: Service Desk Support Specialist Mission Provide an excellent standard of service (1st and 2nd line support) within the IT department at the client site in Geneva, working closely with the one of the IT teams. The calls will require management against levels of service agreed with the business. Given the high profile nature of the user community (VIP), it will be essential to provide a high level of service, personalized as necessary. Responsibilities · Provide Service Desk 1st and 2nd line IT support to all agreed specific IT Geneva sites and customers within agreed procedures and service levels (Respond to customer calls, log calls, call resolution, reassignment if necessary; ownership of Service Desk calls), · Execute Service Desk procedures and processes, including Service Call, Incident, Change Management; Procurement process including asset management; daily procedures; New starter, mover and leaver procedures including checklists, · Installation, configuration and setup of hardware and software, · Administrative support/Office Management, Profile · Service Desk Skills: o About 5 years experience of working on a Service Desk · Technical Skills: o A good working knowledge and experience required in client/server application environments, as well as an intermediate level of hardware diagnosis of PCs, printers, modems, servers and other peripherals o A good level of administration skills with (Win2003/XP,windows7, AD, MS Exchange) o A basic understanding of networks (eg: TCP/IP, LANs, Wireless, VPNs) · Service Perspective: o Some experience of working with service management disciplines (eg customer, problem, change and configuration management), strong awareness of security issues · Stress Handling: o Calm in a crisis and ability to recognize and co-ordinate complex problems, across geographical locations. Experience with Corporate head office environments and associated business processes would be an advantage · Goal Orientation: o Maintaining focus on agreed objectives and delivering against agreed service levels. Strong analysis and organizational skills. Good time management · Customer Focused: o Good telephone manner, presentable, confident and able to relate to and discuss user´s problems.
